FAA Puerto Rico Support Mission
Today we were tasked by the Air Force with a last-minute mission to support the Hurricane Maria recovery efforts in Puerto Rico. The Federal Aviation Administration required an emergency transport of an employee from D.C. to Pope Field, North Carolina, to inspect a critical power component that controls air traffic control equipment before it was loaded onto a C-5 Galaxy for immediate transport to Puerto Rico. Our volunteer pilots played an important role in getting ATC up and running on the island.
